Mates on MTB

For the past few years a group of Townsville mountain-bikers have been escaping their regular lives and embarking on a seven-day off-road adventure, raising funds for the Royal Flying Doctor Service (Queensland).


The Route

Traversing the Great Dividing Range, their journey takes them from Townsville up to Four Mile Beach in Port Douglas (9-16 August, 2015).


Day 1: Townsville - Hidden Valley 147km (1.769m elev.)

Day 2: Hidden Valley - Oak Hills 95km (1,182m elev.)

Day 3: Oak Hills - Goshen Station 71km (926m elev.)

Day 4: Goshen Station - Ravenshoe 114km (1,680m elev.)

Day 5: Ravenshoe - Walkamin 133km (1,957m elev.)

Day 6: Walkamin - Port Douglas 110km (763m elev.)


Total: 670km Elevation: 8,277m
